As part of And1 Taiwan’s efforts to promote and strengthen the brand presence in Taiwan, a weekly session of 5 on 5 basketball games are held during Thursdays at the Taipei City Bei-Tou Sports Center - (BTSC).  I got in touch with Vivi Chang of And1 Taiwan via Facebook and e-mail for this installment of the “Foreign Flava” blog feature.

As per Vivi, it’s free to join/play the games and in her words.. “we accept a challenge to anyone who loves to play basketball. Players (And they) can have a friendly match with Timings basketball team (our own team).”


What I personally like about this weekly event is that practically anyone who wants to play a pick-up game with the Timings basketball team can drop by and hoop it up without having to pay for a joining fee.  The court/arena is already paid for by Timings (the local distributor of And1 in Taiwan) and players no longer need to shell out extra cash.  It not only promotes the And1 brand, but it also fosters camaraderie and friendly competition amongst basketball players and And1 fans  in the Taiwan area.
